I'm stealing BoA's title.

Because we made these last night and Christmas is coming up, here's a recipe for Gingerbread Men or Women, whatever.

Gingerbread Men

Ingredients:
2 cups sifted flour ( 475 mL )
1/2 tsp (2.5 mL ) each of salt, baking soda, and nutmeg
1 tsp ( 5 mL ) each of baking powder, ginger, and ground cloves
1 1/2 ( 7.5 mL ) of cinnamon
1/2 cup ( 118 mL ) shortening
1/2 cup ( 118 mL ) molasses
1 egg

Sift together the first 8 ingredients ( dry ingredients ).
Cream sugar, shortening, and molasses. Add the egg. Stir in dry mixture and mix well. Refrigerate a few hours or overnight. Roll out dough 1/4 inch ( 6 mm ) on a floured board or cloth. Cut with gingerbread men cookie cutters. Bake at 350 F degrees ( 190 C or Gas Mark 5 ) for 8 - 10 minutes. Let cool and either decorate or eat.

You should put up some interesting recipes based on instant ramen. Or Kraft Easy Mac.
Actually, I'd think it was really cool if I saw Jesus in my icecream too. A tyrannosaur in an F14 would be even cooler.

I was expecting the gingerbread people to be anatomically correct, for some reason.

Does anyone know why I get messages like "connecting to web.icq.com" in half of the forum threads today? It doesn't seem to be connected to any particular poster.

The "ICQ" icon in people's banners is probably red or green depending on whether or not they're online. In that case, you're probably seeing that for anyone who has an ICQ ID, while "it" tries to determine wether that person's online or not.

The hardcore forumer would at this point make the gingerbread people, dress them as pirates, and post a picture, with accompanying ARRRR.

I'm not very hardcore.

Good idea. I need to go buy frosting anyway. Or I'll decorate them like I drew you guys for the Thorn Show.

What an impossibly stupid idea. "You can't afford food, now buy our books!"

Plut, I have Ramen, Easy Mac, a little milk, some butter, half an onion, and pickle brine. For spices, I have garlic salt, salt, pepper, basil, and pickle brine. I also have cookie cutters. I can afford no ingredients. Give me a tasty recipe.

1a. Optional: sprinkle lightly with pepper and garlic salt.
2. Consume.

My brother fouled up while making Easy Mac yesterday. That shouldn't be humanly possible. The regular Kraft Dinner is already simple enough for chimps to prepare.

You could also thicken it by putting in less water, and then stamp it into fun shapes with your cookie cutters.
"I'm gonna name it after Nancy!" "What, Pushover?" "Yes! Because that's what she does!"

I don't know, man. It's pretty easy to fuck up if you don't have a measuring cup.

I'm not quite a destitute college student yet, so there are measuring cups in the house. He's just incompetent.
