I have never been a cook, I wouldn't last a day.
I mostly wash dishes, make beds, general cleaning of cabins and bathrooms. Things like that.

Though it remains to be seen what they'll have me doing on this ship. Probably not laying pipe.

Damn. What BEES said.

First day on my new job. Feels good to be getting paid again, but I'm a bit leery of being on 2nd shift because the Microbiology department isn't run for anything besides setups on 2nd, and I'm afraid I'm going to end up forgetting a lot of the practical skills in regards to ID'ing things in there. Ah well, it is what it is.

New job has some incredibly frustrating parts, but it's way way better.

I've also been seeing a new lady and she's fabulous. We get along together incredibly well, we even need about the same amount of alone/together time. We went and saw Inside Out last night, and we both ended up holding eachother and crying at the sad part.

'grats on both of those things. :)

I splashed pee on myself yesterday. I think that means I'm an official lab tech now.

How long have you been going out with her BEES?

Also, TMCM, that's gross.

26 days! Feel like I should do something on the one-month but am at a loss as to what to do.

So a cool thing happened. My boss got promoted and that results in a loss of budget for the team. My last day is the 31st. >.<

Pretty angry about this.

Yeah, "this is going to go away in 10 weeks" is one of those items I would've considered, had it been available, when deciding whether or not to leave the previous job.

I passed my certification exam! In spite of some intensely useless study guides, even. I'm all official now.

I will say this much: When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, 'analyzer of post-vasectomy semen' WAS NOWHERE ON THE GODDAMN LIST.
