The vasectomy I take it.

I just got an invite to get a OnePlus Two. This on top of me repairing the Dell XPS 17 I had kicking around and getting Windows 10 on it successfully via the 10130 preview build workaround make this a good week for me in terms of tech. :^:

Yeah, vasectomy, and it didn't go exactly as planned.

No, I got it done after Ridley was born. The weird part was during the actual procedure. The urologist cut one vas deferens but couldn't find one on the other side. So either it was being elusive or I was only born with one.

I recently got my sample tested (thanks TMCM), and there was no sperm. That suggests that I only had one vas. That condition is linked to also having only one kidney. My blood test indicated normal kidney function, and the ultrasound confirmed two kidneys.

So everything's good now but we were worried for a while. We're lucky that my one vas could still impregnate.

TMI? I have a picture of my freshly severed vas deferens that you're lucky I'm not sharing.

To quote my friend, oh well what's the deferens?

In deferens to pob's obvious aversion, I'll pass.
See, TMCM, your unexpected career path worked out cool!

I've been toying around with the idea of getting the snip myself but the enforced running & cycling layoff is a put-off.

You'd probably only be out of commission for two weeks. When I got it done I was only in real pain one day, the fourth day. Tylenol and ibuprofen made it go away. I had to miss one week of iaido. But for cycling you will probably miss more.

But that shouldn't be the thing that's stopping you.

To be honest, I'd probably enjoy a break. Wouldn't kill me to have a layoff.

Perfect excuse to have a strange man cut into your genitals.

You people keep your semen to yourselves. I've got quite enough bodily fluid to be getting on with as it is, thanks very much.

I got a new job at last! Had the interview Monday and got a job offer yesterday.
Plus I don't have to travel so far to work any more and I get a pay rise. Still in public sector, just for the National Health Service rather than the County Council now.

Also my friend in Pittsburgh sent me the most hideous Antonio Brown #84 Christmas jumper and I got a place for a half marathon I wasn't expecting to run in mid-December. :) So all told things are pretty awesome.

I just caught up with the last two years of posts, it took about ten minutes. My only real update is I quit my old (stupid) job and got a better one closer to home.

Does everyone social media now? I tried that once but couldn't get the hang of it.

Also sorry to whoever said hello on Steam a few months back but it was Toby playing and he wisely didn't respond to strangers but told me about it later.

Also does anyone know how Bees is doing because his last post sounds bad.

Bees is doing pretty well as far as I can tell. So long as he gets enough sleep.

I'm on facebook, your wife just recently contacted me to say we should catch up when we visit Melbourne in November.

Hi Eolh, I think maybe five people are left.
