New Trip :-)

Postby pablo banquo » Thu Apr 26, 2012 12:30 pm

Following on from my wedding in late June, we'll be heading back to the USA again for a vacation and to visit my wife's parents.
Planning to mostly retrace our southwestern road trip from a couple of trips back as well as head to some different places.
First stop will be Las Vegas, NV and travelling through AZ and NM. Finishing up in Houston for almost a week.

Going to be heading up over in October and returning to Australia in November, still deciding on dates.

I don't live near there!

Yeah, if you wanted to come to Southern California, you could stay with us. We got a new house, and you could have your choice of two guest rooms.

I wish I had time to go everywhere! Alas.

Oh, BEES, I may get invited to a wedding next July in the Lake Wobegon area, good opportunity for a visit then.

Yeah, if you're of retirement age and it's nap time...

Heh, that's fine, I'm just teasing. I've never gotten the appeal myself, is all.

Really? I like Garrison Keiler. It's like blue-collar poetry.

Pab, you're welcome here any time. We actually have a real full guest room now, with a bed and everything. We'll figure out some kind of crazy food thing to try.

Yah, it's just not for me. I'm not saying all my humor needs to be blue, but PHC is, at least to me, remarkable for nothing as much as its tameness. Some of the music acts are good, though.

Hopefully something better than some of the other foods around. Hot Brown anyone?

I believe it was more specific, regionally speaking.

Well, okay, East African and Ethiopian. I'll have to figure out something like that.

Pity Arbat closed.

Got your wedding invitation yesterday in the mail. Probably the craziest wedding invitation I'll ever get!

Good to hear! Anastasia put a lot of effort into those. There are a bunch going out to the US. Pity most people can't afford spontaneous trips to the other side of the planet. Or get enough time off to enjoy it.

I really wish I could. Australia seems like an interesting place.

Yeah, we would've liked to come, and probably would have if we didn't have other plans this summer. Still, it would've been a bit difficult to go with only about two months' notice.

If you do ever decide to fly over, I'll be happy to accommodate. So long as I'm going to be home then. :-)
