I'll get back to it eventually if I could just stop playing Wii Sports.

I have that. It's pretty fun, though everyone I've showed it to seems to think it's stupid. Mostly because of all the unnecessary story sequences. I beat the main storyline, but couldn't get anywhere with the Extreme missions that happen after that.

I wasn't too into Trauma Center. I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Has anybody played Wii Play? I heard it's gotten some pretty miserable reviews.

I've had Wii Play since launch over here.. There's a couple of games that are worth a few minutes of play like Charge and Laser Hockey but the rest of it is really just to teach people how to use the remote. Sit your mum down and tell her to play through the games and she'll be able to play with you on other games a bit easier..

And G-dawg, I'd add you to my address book if I could get my Wii back online. It appears the USB dongle still doesn't like connecting to the internet..

Bought an access point to act as a bridge for my computer and a repeater for the Wii / anyone else upstairs..

..So my Wii is finally back online and downloading a huge update by the look of things.

Gobo I am sending you ham.

I have about 42. Makes picking out good ones a right pain because there's so many.

In other news -- waking up in the middle of the night to the cool blue glow of a new message is downright eerie.

My continuing search for a Wii continues without any success. There just aren't any in shops here, most of them saying they've had none since their initial allocation. I'd got a 360 by the following March, so why's it so damned hard to get a Wii?

Although I'm having fun fucking with store clerks sounding all interested about the PS3, and then saying I'd prefer a Wii instead.

Probably because the Wii is demonstrably the fastest selling console of all time. At first people thoughtt they were purposefully holding back supply to artificially increase demand, but it actually appears that they simply can't meet it despite pumping out consoles at a pretty good clip.

I broke down and pre-ordered from gamestop. Since all the extra stuff i needed to get to do that was stuff i'd want anyway, it wasn't as bad as the atrocious walmart bundle.

April 12th!

I finally got mine Saturday with 2000 Wii Points & Zelda.

Although we're playing Wii Sports more than Zelda at present. Waiting for Wii Play to arrive, if only for the second remote.

Wii code is 2925-2569-0684-2088.

I've added you guys already.

this is my first "online" console, i don't get the rules

Go to the message board and click on the "create message" icon. Then click on the address book on the far right..

On the front of the book is your wii code.

(You have to have it hooked up to the internet to get that far though..)

my wii is online. It's disturbing just how many of my neighbors don't protect their wi fi. I'm tempted to cancel my own ISP and leech.

A bad guy named O'Chunks told me he'd be all over me like a fat thunderstorm last night.

I love Super Paper Mario.

Yeah, I was initially stumped too since the manual makes no mention of this.

Also, it's a bit shitty not being able to send e-mails without you first adding the desired address to your address book. And then for them to e-mail you at Wnnnnnnnnn@wii.com. I pray they see sense and implement gamertags of sorts.

I think they are trying to protect predators from being able to send little kids dirty messages. You have to be mutual buddies to communicate.
