Quite an interesting article about the genesis of achievements.

I almost picked up 2 when a local Blockbuster was going out of business, but it never got quite as cheap as I was willing to spend on it.

Still don't think I could ever understand that. I don't get spending money and time on games you normally wouldn't touch just to get more gamerscore / achievements. I mean, I would maybe kinda sorta get it if gamerscore or achievement level translated into anything tangible, but it really doesn't.

That's one thing I will not do; buy games that I have no interest in just for achievements. I won't even rent games I have no interest in. Even the notorious achievement-whore game, Avatar: The Last Airbender, I got for my nephews to play.
I honestly do not get buying the same games in different regional formats simply for achievements.
Will I try for achievements? Yes. And I have met some great people trying to get some of the multiplayer achievements, but it's no big deal if I don't get one.
Except for Left 4 Dead Expert campaigns. Those were going to be accomplished, dang it. Stupid Blood Harvest. I hate you!

TMCM, you can find DJ Hero for less than 20 bucks including the turntable.

Am I weird for knowing his gamertag too? He's pretty prolific on TA though.

My gamerscore's but a shadow of his. Also, I'm not a jackass who has a plastic rest so his arms don't hurt holding the controller. Seriously, what kind of lazy asshole has a peripheral like that to lean on their paunch? Good posture that man.

Ah yeah, I knew I knew that Gamertag from somewhere. TA.

Is that even a real peripheral? I have never seen that before. I think I might change positions too often for that to even be handy.
