Both of our teams had kind of an off day, apparently.

I should have thought of this earlier, but I really hope you're not mad at me.

Nope, not mad. Still interested in trading, though his stock did go down a bit with his dismal performance yesterday. If we'd traded already, I would've lost by even more than I did. Anyway, let me know if you're still thinking about it and I can think about another offer.

At least we have 6 man benches here, 4 man in MSN leagues. Had to drop Berrian 'cause like you I have Chicago's defense.

Still, 7-0 in that league.

Responding to dogmeat here since I'll need more than the "smack talk" space.
dogmeat wrote:Well the whole voting for my opponent every single week's getting a bit old.

Didn't realize I'd have to defend my votes, but here goes. All of my votes are based on the matchups, not prejudices. Here's the breakdown by week, with my vote in bold:
  1. Projection: dogmeat 100.53, opponent 106.38 - actual winner opponent. And of course I'm going to vote for myself in all my own matchups, unless it's obvious I have no chance.
  2. Projection: dogmeat 104.75, opponent 103.99 - actual winner opponent. Projections were so close that it was pretty much a toss-up...voted for your opponent and looks like I made the right call. Sorry I didn't have faith in Brett Favre's ability to gel with a new team right after one week of regular season play.
  3. Projection: dogmeat 96.06, opponent 105.73 - actual winner dogmeat. How was I to know that your opponent would score 30 points below his projection?
  4. Projection: dogmeat 98.43, opponent 64.78 - actual winner dogmeat. Hey what do you know, I voted for you (the projected winner) and you won.
  5. Projection: dogmeat 98.77, opponent 90.67 - actual winner opponent. I didn't vote on this matchup. Sorry.
  6. Projection: dogmeat 98.49, opponent 87.05 - actual winner dogmeat. I voted for the other guy because I had more faith in Tomlinson's ability to overcome turf toe than Yahoo did.
  7. Projection: dogmeat 91.18, opponent 103.86 - actual winner opponent. Had no strong feelings one way or the other on this one, so I went with the projection.
  8. Projection: dogmeat 94.99, opponent 115.40 - actual winner dogmeat. I voted for the guy who was projected to get 20 points more, who also happened to be me.
  9. Projection: dogmeat 87.00, opponent 96.42 - actual winner opponent (assuming Santana Moss does not get -7 points tonight). Again, just voting with the projection.
I'm sorry you feel like I have some kind of grudge against you, but I think I have made reasonable votes and have correctly predicted the outcomes of your matchups five out of eight times (62.5%). If it will make you feel better, I will vote for you from now on.

Well, if it makes you feel better, you might lose by more than 1.3 points. Bunyip still has one more guy left to go tonight.

A reminder that starting this week, there is a Thursday game. You may want to start checking your lineups earlier than usual.

I certainly hope we will pay for defying you, because then TO will start putting up the numbers again.

I would be okay with that. I only face you one more time (week 14) in regular season play, but I face Tony Romo victims every week!

I used "effects" in my smack talk, tell me if I'm wrong, I wanted to use "affects". I usually can hear the difference when I say the sentence but my brain's a bit slow today...

I see affects.

And holy crap, it looks like Thomas Jones had a big day.

Grammar consulting services comes with a fee. And this week's fee is the benching of your MNF defense.

In order for me to stay in first place, tonight the combination of Larry Fitzgerald, Frank Gore, and Tim Hightower have to get 40 points PLUS whatever your defense gets...so probably around 50 points. That means a total of about 3 TDs and 320 yards. Doable but unlikely! It doesn't help that so far my non-QBs have scored no TDs, and all of your non-QBs have scored one or more. I hate losing matchups when my bench outperforms my starters.

After writing the post I changed it to affects because at that moment it seemed right...maybe Bag will give me an answer after tonight's game :)

Just so you know Bag, you will win, no worries. Arizona is doing well and they are going against the 49ers. Plus I get to watch it all unfold with my very eyes, I'm bad luck you see :P
