Oh hey, I'm only down by 12 with four guys to go. If they can get 3 points apiece I can tie this game!

Good luck tonight. I even voted for you to win your matchup, so don't let me down. Then again, if you win you will be letting yourself down since you voted for Miel to win...

I'm actually pretty used to letting myself down at this point!

This fantasy season has just completely nosedived for me. Another week losing in all 3 of my leagues. Ungh.

How the fuck are you in first place with such pedestrian numbers? I have almost 200 more points than you.

Code: Select all

1    PreteritDuckPurchase     Win    118.64 - 101.40
2    Viscid Miel              Win    94.10 - 87.66
3    Maturin - /brag          Loss   74.88 - 113.14
4    Gluten-free Moose        Win    85.40 - 79.84
5    ...                      Win    80.36 - 63.72
6    Eolh's A-holes           Win    90.36 - 52.30
7    ragtopskodacarchase      Win    119.32 - 114.36

Addendum: dang, should have played DeSean Jackson. Would have won my matchup. Oh well.

So, does the "do not drop" list ever go away?

No, but it does slightly change over time. For example, they add people to it occasionally. They remove people from it if they get seriously injured too. Why, you still looking to get rid of people?

Yeah, Calvin Johnson for sure, possibly Brian Westbrook and Steven Jackson. But I can't, sad panda.

Two things I absolutely can't stand about the CoT fantasy football league are the no drop list and not doing PPR.

I'd be interested in PPR next season. Maybe 0.5 per reception? So that a guy with 12 catches basically gets a TD instead of two TDs. What is the normal PPR scoring set to?

I have never played in a league that didn't have a full point per reception other than this one. I have a friend who is in a half point per reception league and he says it's worse than 0 or 1.

Maybe I'm just used to it so that's how I think when I'm evaluating players but it really throws me off.

I will agree that the no-drop list is driving me god damned bugshit. If we have one next year I will make not having one a condition of joining.

I think having the no drop list and no PPR is the standard setting for yahoo.

I am 3-4 and my season is spiraling out of control, oh noes!

I'm happy to go PPR next season.
As for the no drop list I could disable it but would suggest you explore the option of trades before letting fantasy studs go.

Can't Cut now disabled.

First casualty: Steve Slaton.

Uhh, kind of bullshit to change settings in the middle of the season. Especially if you, as commissioner, get to time it just right to drop a guy and pick up his backup. Two settings were being discussed, can't-cut and PPR. And you announced that we'd (probably) be doing PPR next season, but then you immediately change can't-cut to benefit yourself? Total bs, especially after urging people to try to trade the can't-cut people.

I figured I wasn't the only person to want rid of players.
Yes, I admit I got rid of Slaton and took the backup, but can cancel that if you call shenanigans.

Think you'd better. You can still pick up the backup (who btw got 3 tds today) but you should drop one of your can-cut guys. Changing league settings during the season is pretty bad, especially without a proper discussion/countdown with veto/vote/whatever, and a definite no no on game day.

Addendum: please also explain what you changed about the playoff seed. I don't understand the setting.
