A thread to be used for listing & complaining about the excesses of the Party In Power.

Hurrah for more palatable homophobia. Christ. This guy has Bush's ear? Color me completely not surprised.

Well.. at least Hammet would be left alone.
And what the hell was he going on about with the stop light thing?

"I don't know," he says, "if I belong here any more."

No kidding.

Anger.

Why can't we just dump people like him in a hole in order to protect society?

I do that for humorous effect, not as a serious debate tactic.

I REALLY have to question how much of Bush's ear can be had by a lowly state representative who is clearly both crazy and stupid.

You mean a lowly state representative who is clearly both crazy and stupid just as Bush was as governor of Texas? Fancy that.

This wrecked my sleep today.
Actually, I'd think it was really cool if I saw Jesus in my icecream too. A tyrannosaur in an F14 would be even cooler.

The fortunate thing is that this idea is, at least for the time being, dead in the water. This guy is apparently being mocked even on Faux News.

The real disturbing thing about this though, at least I think, is that 'they' felt confident enough to try and push for this nonsense in the first place.

why shouldn't "they" feel confident? they just got a president re-elected who wants to make it unconstitutional to have a gay marriage, and had 14 (?) states already declare it outlaw.

you know, i was assuming all this terrorism crap would sorta make the muslim hating more FOTM as the socially exceptable bigotry of the day, i know my father was pleased as punch to finally be able to express his deep-founded racial hatred towards a group of darker skin, having felt cheated on being born too young to really appreciate the hating black people bandwagon. the right wing totally through a curveball by deciding gays were a bigger threat to america than rag heads!
In fairness, we've been building 'ground zeros' near Iraqi mosques since March 2003.

You know, we bash the shit that the US does a lot around here, but there's some pretty ominious crap going on in Russia and the Ukraine at the moment.

I really only bash the US concerning the gay thing. If I was gay in Russia or the Ukraine, I would bitch about that. Well, probably not, as they would probably have me killed.

With the government essentially stealing the state's main oil company?

I was going to try to look up more things about the current state of affairs in Russia but I think it might be too much of a downer.

This confused me until I said the sentence to myself allowed.

Maybe eye should start righting awl of my sentences with homonyms in place of the actual words. That wood bee pretty cool.
