It's probably one of those things you have to experience, like shooting a friend in the face with bird shot.

If it's good enough for Dick Cheney, it oughta be for anyone.

I use that reasoning a lot to try and get in to bars, but it never seems to work.

Oh, Dick. If only you would publicly recognize what we had together.

I think you need to at least have been the VP in order to score margaritas like that, or so implies Lewis Black.

so did I. this morning a guy ahead of me in line was turned away (i'm not sure why) and was about to walk away unil a woman called out to him and said he can cast a provisional ballot, which he then requested and received. She's my hero of the day.
In fairness, we've been building 'ground zeros' near Iraqi mosques since March 2003.

I just got back from voting. Not that crowded, but it was still bedlam. Clerks from different wards were just randomly pointing people to other lines with little to no help. Finally got a ballot, and they were out of pens. I think the root cause in all of this might have something to do with the average age of the people running the show being over 90.

Same deal as Kauser at my voting place. They had these electronic voting booths but they were all broken so we had to do paper ballots with normal pens (not the cool push ones that fill in the bubble completely). All old people running the show. Lines were confusing and unorganized. And the voting place was a church, which seemed a little bit like a conflict of interest to me, particularly with the California Propositions on teenage abortion and gay marriage, but whatever.

My voting place wound up being a huge Masonic lodge

Mine ended up having a friend of my roomate's in it, with his hair all punked-out and died in red, blue and blond stripes. Things were going pretty smoothly, although some old lady was bitching about how weird it was. I'm not really sure why - you had to show your ID, pick up your ballot, vote, and then feed it into the machine. It seems really simple to me.

I thought it was weird because we didn't have to show ID. We just told them our names and confirmed our addresses and were given ballots.

so, MSNBC is calling PA as obama, but Fox and CNN have not. If PA breaks to Obama, I'm not sure there is a scenario that gives McCain the win.

ok abc has now also called PA for obama
