I can't train the forum to talk or make tacos. What the hell?

Pob tells me the board was doen for a bit last night.

Sorry folks.

It's getting creaky, and it's getting unreliable. I'm going to have to come up with some kind of action soon, I guess.

I did come back a mere minute later and it was working again, thought I'd better tell you all the same though.

I shot a man and took his shoes.

They were really nice shoes.

I like reeboks myself. They have a slightly broader fitting than most other brands. Good for us, y'know, chunky fuckers.

I know they're not shoes, but I tend not to wear shoes very often.

Rob, I don't seem to be able to turn on my sig.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently it now only updates the sig for any posts made qafter the update.
Actually, I'd think it was really cool if I saw Jesus in my icecream too. A tyrannosaur in an F14 would be even cooler.

That's fucked up. Sure it's not a caching problem? I'm 80% sure that the sig stuff just doesn't work that way!

Absolutely. You can see it in my MP3 thread now, for instance. On the same page, I have four or five posts with no sig, then one post with a sig.

Wow. But is that because the earlier posts were posted with the "attach signature" setting unchecked (which is done at the bottomt of the post a reply window, and the default for which is somewhere on your profile screen). I'm pretty sure if you go and change the text of your signature now, your last post in the mp3 thread will change. However, it won't show a signature for a post unless it was told to.

I'll double-check later when I have a bit of time; if the database has taken to storing signs "per post" then there's no wonder the database is growing at an alarming rate.

My pleasure. You're not the first person I've explained that to, maybe I ought to put something in a FAQ or summat.

Glad the database wasn't doing what you had me thinking, there for a minute. It must be growing because of all the long posts (and that ain't me, not these days!)
