So like, my dad has thyroid cancer. They're taking it out, as in his entire thyroid this Friday. It's supposed to be the type of thyroid cancer that is really easy to treat. I'm not getting a terribly worried vibe from anyone but maybe my antenna is on the fritz.

Man, sorry to hear that. Cancer is supposed to be relatively common, doesn't make it any easier when one of your relatives or someone you care for is affected, does it?

my aunt had that, after having breast cancer. it sucks because you get a scar across your throat that makes you look like clint eastwood in that move (unforgiven?) but it is a higly successful cancer to treat. Good luck to him.
In fairness, we've been building 'ground zeros' near Iraqi mosques since March 2003.

It got moved up to today. He's already through the operation and in recovery. He could be out and about as early as tomorrow.

Holy crap, I had no idea about your dad. I know it's way late, but is he doing okay now? I imagine the brother is still a tool.

You don't, right? I mean, you're not going to have to post in the Dynagrip dating misadventure thread, are you?
