Heh. You'd know about it if I ever did stop loving you guys, that's for sure.
No, I still love you all, I'm just not trying to be the centre of attention like I once tried to be.
I post stuff on LJ from time to time - some weeks a lot, some weeks fuck-all.
There's an investment of time required to follow the threads here (even with the slower-than-might-be-expected posting). Particularly the threads in the Ministry, which I enjoy reading in bursts every week or so - I think the Ministry can be read that way due to low volume of new posts in there (some weeks nothing much, other weeks a handful of posts, all very much worth reading). But me, personally - well, I don't really have anything very interesting to say these days, and so I don't really want to increase the noise-to-signal ratio anymore than I have to. There's only so much boring work-and-personal-life-related stuff I can sling at you guys.
Mind you, TMCM made a point about us gravitating towards huge long mega-topics, and how that might not be a good thing. I totally agree with this now - we've become quite compartmentalised and it's hard for anyone who wasn't there at the start of the mega-topic to join-in afterwards - what do you do about the 50 pages you've missed so far? etc.
So, maybe a few random wittering type topic-seeding posts in the common room might encourage people to do the same. And then we can start to complain about all the new topics, again.
LJ suits the somewhat-more-self-obsessed side to my online persona and I guess that's why having an erratic blog feels easier than here; I started treating CoT like my own personal blog (with guests!) a few years ago and it didnt' really work out for anyone.
But, that doesn't mean I don't love you all, far from it.
And it's nice to see you post something now and again, Foob.
