Tablet Insanity (Spork Vs Foo) [GFX]

Postby SporkAndrew » Wed Feb 25, 2004 2:19 pm

The story so far...

[14:44] foobyte: I forget ... what happened to the early part? Was that in a separate thread in FMC?
[14:45] superandrewrocks: it, er
[14:45] superandrewrocks: it was in weekend review
[14:45] superandrewrocks: i said "i just got a tablet for free"
[14:45] superandrewrocks: and you were like "yeah well, i paid a metric fuckton for this wacom"
[14:45] superandrewrocks: so i declared myself the winner because mine was free
[14:45] foobyte: hehehe

Andrew: I proclaim myself the winner.

And to me, the spoils.

<div align="center">Image</div>

Now I'm playing with the spoils as you look on, dejected...

Look! I got a train!

<div align="center">Image</div>

Foo: ....

:(

Just wait 'till I get home!

Andrew: Ok, here's me waiting patiently...

<div align="center">Image</div>

Foo: Hmm..

While you're waiting, blissfully ignorant, Mia shows up:

"Bad Spork! Back into your Sporkball!"

Now I know how such quality cartoons as Dragon Half were thought up.

We got outlandishly comical scenes, and mecha, all we're missing is a dragon somewhere in there, and some tits.

All in all it does resemble the work of someone who admitted to be baked out of his mind on several drugs at the time of creation.

Those sketches look a lot like the ones I did for TS2. And for Angstros.
Quit ganking my style!

Spork took it to the next level, using watercolours and ... possibly felt-tip? I'll have to switch away from using just the pencil tool for the next few frames...

Try coloring it in your own blood.

...Watercolours? Felt tip?

It's just the brush tool in Open Canvas... Different pressures on the tablet gets a different transparency... So you press on a little, you get almost see-through colours, and pressing on hard gets you the full actual colour...

I think Fooby's using Photoshop, but I'm using Open Canvas (right click -> save target as...)

...It's fun, and you can draw multiplayer too... Well, you could, but I don't think it can get through my uni's proxy...

I don't actually have Photoshop ...

I'm using Corel Painter. Actually, Corel Painter Classic, which is the cut-down version that came free with the tablet. It's pretty cool, it actually emulates different medias. So, I can use a pencil, pen, watercolours, chalk, etc... very cool.

Awesome...

I thought you were supposed to make something in your favor, though.
