Yeah okay, so it's about done. I still have to write my part, to make the first and last connect. And the next time I am able to be online, I will give everyone a preview of what went on.

Oh, and thank you to everyone who participated. Your help is extremely appreciated.

You've drawn and colored all the parts? Wow.

No. The last section uses Lethe's last sentence as it's first sentence and Eolh's first sentence as the last sentence.
I meant I was going to give you a preview of the writing, not the art.

Oh, I didn't realize the whole thing would be completely circular. That's really cool.

I never put my hand up for a copy but I totally want one. Also when you say "preview", I'm hoping that means "post the whole story in this thread"? Also, the Blamimation things on PvP inexplicably made me laugh and now I want to make budget Thorn shows using their tech and your drawings. That might be a bit of a tangent.

In fairness, we've been building 'ground zeros' near Iraqi mosques since March 2003.

Once I get the internet up and running at my own goddamn house, I will update here and try to post the story. Or four word snippets from each section, depending on how I feel.

Well, we have finished and I have decided I will put up the sections as I draw them, so Eolh's will go up and n_i's will probably go up tomorrow. I have put the sentence the next person received in bold type.
............
Eolh
............
From an early age Joseph was trained to blend in. His parents, deathly frightened of their son being scarred in some schoolyard confrontation taught him to always remain unnoticed. In lieu of something traditional such as "I love you" his mother would say "Don’t make waves" before school each morning. Joseph was an intelligent child and did his work quickly and quietly, making sure to be neither noticed nor invisible. He was not an outcast, however. Everyone knew who he was, but it was in the same sort of ephemeral way that Americans would know about an earthquake in Southeast Asia. He was friendly enough that no one had ever carried a particular grudge against him, and he was distant enough that even if there was some bully looking to have a grudge, Joseph would have been the last on their mind to fill such a role. Joseph had a great talent for obfuscation of the self, and while occupying a sort of cognitive limbo in the minds of others certainly had paid off in his formative years, he was now finding it lonely and isolating as an adult.

It had become too easy, too convenient, he'd decided, to fade into his surroundings. Whether through supernatural means, or merely through some innate knowledge of human behavior and camouflage, he could force the minds of those around him to file him away as extraneous information, much like the the sensation of clothing on the skin. It had become something of a sport with him. He'd find some bustling area and stand, watching the people flow unconsciously around him, waiting for the shocked expressions and mumbled apologies when someone finally brushed against him. Joseph had become quite adept, if he concentrated on it. Last night had been different, however. Joseph broke into a cold sweat thinking about it: he'd been seen last night among the bustling citizenry, and no amount of concentration or force of will would convince the stranger's mind that he was merely a part of the background.

Seconded.
Also, I'm digging these.
